Turkey’s President warns Biden of consequences if he fails to reverse Armenian genocide declaration

On Tuesday, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan verbally spoke out against President Biden’s recognition and acknowledgment of the Armenian Genoside that was a “mass killing” that took place in World War 1 by the Ottomans, in which around 1.5 million Armenian were murdered. 

The President was “warned” by Edrogan, that he should move with caution when it comes to the relationship between the United States and Turkey. He then went on to say  “I hope the US president will turn back from this wrong step as soon as possible.” 

After a cabinet meeting Edrogan stated “The US president has made baseless, unjust and untrue remarks about the sad events that took place in our geography over a century ago,” and he even reminded President Biden of the United State’s own history and the cruel mistreatment of the Native Americans, when our country was first growing, as a way to defend the Turkish people. Saying that you cannot blame the Turkish people of today for something bad that happened in the past.
