In an interview, Hunter Biden says he has “probably smoked more parmesan cheese than anyone”

During interviews on CBS Sunday Morning, Hunter Biden said that the laptop first reported last fall “could” be his. The president’s son also shed some light on his drug addiction.

“I spent more time on my hands and knees picking through rugs, smoking anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine. I probably smoked more parmesan cheese than anyone,” Hunter Biden said on CBS Sunday Morning. “I went one time for 13 days without sleeping, and smoking crack and drinking vodka throughout that entire time,” he said during an interview to promote his memoir, “Beautiful Things,” out April 6 from Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. He said his then-vice president dad tried to intervene after he began binge-drinking vodka following the death of brother Beau Biden in 2015.

“He came to my apartment one time. And this was when he was still in office as vice president, and so he kinda ditched his Secret Service, figured out a way to get over to the house,” Hunter said. “And I said, ‘What are you doin’ here?’ He said, ‘Honey, what are you doing?’ I said, ‘Dad, I’m fine.’ He said, ‘You’re not fine.’”Hunter later teared up in the interview saying his dad still calls him every night. “We talk at least every night,” he said. “By the way, not only does he talk to me every night; he calls every one of my daughters and he talks to each one of them every day. And I know that he talks to me, and I know that he talks to my sister.”

When asked about the origin of the laptop during the interview with CBS’ Tracy Smith, Hunter told her “For real, I don’t know.” Smith then asked the younger Biden whether the laptop “could” be his. “Of course certainly,” he responded. “It, it, there could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be that I was hacked. It could be that it was the — that it was Russian intelligence. It could be that it was stolen from me,” he said. President Biden previously said that the information on the laptop, details of which have been widely reported on – including Hunter allegedly introducing foreign oil executives to his father – was Russian disinformation. Biden in October claimed that the laptop specifically was part of a Russian “disinformation… smear campaign.”

“Do you believe the recent leak of material allegedly from Hunter’s computer is part of a Russian disinformation campaign,” Biden was asked on CBS’ 60 Minutes. “From what I’ve read and know, the intelligence community warned the president that Giuliani was being fed disinformation from the Russians. And we also know that Putin is trying very hard to spread disinformation about Joe Biden,” the then-candidate said. He added: “When you put the combination of Russia, Giuliani, the president together, that’s just what it is. It’s a smear campaign.” However, the intelligence community concluded last year that the laptop, which rocked the last few weeks of the presidential election, was not Russian disinformation.
