The troubled son of the President-Elect Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, has announced he is under federal investigation into potential tax fraud and his business dealings in foreign nations, first uncovered by the infamous laptop that the New York Post brought to light.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden said in the statement. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
Reportedly beginning in 2018, the probe will examine Hunter’s dealings in foreign countries, potentially involving individuals who pose counterintelligence concerns. After being suspended in the run-up to the 2020 Election, due to Justice Department guidelines that prevent investigations that could influence an election, it has been re-opened with FBI and IRS issuing subpoenas and seeking interviews.
Hunter Biden’s alleged business in foreign nations has repeatedly made headlines since numerous accounts of corruption have been exposed in the past few months and, finally, justice may be on the horizon. A September report from Senate Republicans discovered Hunter “and his family were involved in a vast financial network that connected them to foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe.”
The Senate Republicans investigation also found that “Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the wife of the former mayor of Moscow” in 2014 and linked Hunter Biden to Eastern European sex trafficking rings, indulging in prostitution and paying off women “who appear to be linked to an ‘Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.’”
Shortly after, the New York Post reported in October on a laptop seized in a Delaware computer shop that unfolds an extensive string of dealings that involved his father, President-elect Joe Biden.
As the New York Post reported, the laptop obtained by President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Guiliani held the emails depict Hunter Biden introducing his then-Vice President father Joe Biden to top executive at Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2015, specifically a smoking gun where Ukrainian adviser, Vadym Pozharskyi, thanked Hunter Biden for the “opportunity” to meet Joe Biden in Washington.
Less than a year later, Joe Biden withheld over a billion dollars of U.S. aid from Ukraine in March 2016 to pressure Ukraine to fire top prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who curiously began an investigation into Burisma, indicating the elder Biden protected his son from an investigation.
In another email from May of 2017, with the subject line “Expectations”, features equity negotiations between Hunter Biden and the CEFC China Energy Co., China’s largest private energy company at the time. Described by Hunter Biden as “interesting for me and my family,” the email lays out a list of demands in a “remuneration packages” between six partners in an unidentified practice, notably including a 10% stake “held by H for the big guy?” As confirmed by a participant in that deal, Tony Bobulinski, the “big guy” is Joe Biden, most likely, the 46th President of the United States.
Despite the seismic discoveries of the laptop and the Senate Republicans report, social media and news outlets quickly suppressed the story while the Justice Department remained awfully silent. However, after the 2020 President Election has been seemingly decided, finally we may receive some answers into Hunter Biden’s apparent crimes.
