Soon after the New York Post released their bombshell report on Hunter Biden and his business dealings overseas, many rushed to protect the Biden family. Adam Schiff, House Intelligence Committee Chairman, said that the emails were a “smear attempt coming from the Kremlin”.
The report from the Post tells about a laptop that Hunter Biden dropped off at a computer repair shop in Delaware and he never went to pick it up, nor did he pay for the service. After him not returning and making several phone calls, the store owner made a copy of the hard drive and gave it to Robert Costello, Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer. Next, he reported the computer and material to the feds and the FBI seized the items in December. On the computer and hard drive were emails of conversations with foreign governments and how his father, Joe Biden, was involved. Also found on the computer was a 12-minute video of Hunter engaging in sexual activity with an unknown woman and smoking crack, as well as other sexual images.
The report took over Twitter on Wednesday as everyone was sharing this massive bomb and the social media site had some technical issues. Millions of users couldn’t refresh their feeds, tweet, comment, or retweet. A few hours later, the issues were resolved. Several people who shared the report or information about it, like White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, were locked out of their accounts. Even the New York Post had issues with their account.
After the report came out, Adam Schiff told CNN, “We know that this whole smear of Joe Biden comes fromteh Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about this vice president and his son.”
But Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, says that this is not a Russian disinformation campaign. He said, “It’s funny that some of the people who complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence. Unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”
He goes on, “Let me clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress. Hunter Biden’s laptop in not part of some Russian disinformation campaign. This is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
Ratcliffe said that the FBI has the laptop and they are investigating it.
