On Wednesday night, the shining gem of the Democrat party, Barack Obama made his long awaited speech at the Democratic National Convention, congratulating his Vice President on his nomination and setting the stage for the upcoming election. Naturally revolving around President Trump and the cries of urgency in November, Biden?s stammering campaign finally received the boost it needed. Through his speech, Obama reveals the 2020 pitch for Democrats while undermining his credibility in the process. Democrats want nothing more than this election to end up as a referendum on President Trump. On his character. On his volatility. On his brashness. On the crumbling state of a nation crawling out of lockdown (most of which caused by Democrats). Since often indefensible, his divisiveness creates an easy opening for opponents. For Democrats, Trump already established himself as the very worst impules of the right and the conservative movement, crude, bigoted and corrupt, and Democrats know they need to play these attributes up if they want to usurp him.? -(NBC NEWS) So, for Democrats, they must also present voters with an accessible and breezy option or risk sacrificing voter turnout. Anything radical or anti-establishment would scare off voters and fracture the party on Election Night, leading to the throttling of Bernie Sanders campaign despite his higher chances of upending Trump. So enter Biden. Though very little enthusiasm permeates through the Democratic party, especially amongst young voters for Biden himself, the lack of enthusiasm allows the disdain of Trump to reverberate through voters. Democrats would rather bet on America?s contempt of Trump than their enthusiasm to vote for Biden. Learning from 2016, where ultimately disappointing voter turnout sunk Hillary Clinton?s campaign moreso than the the awakening of new voter bases invigorated by Trump?s booming populist rhetoric, the spotlights have turned to Trump?s incompetence instead of Biden?s vision. As a bland establishment candidate, Biden doesn?t have the capacity to shake anything up in political arena. So long as Democrats minimize his gaffes by hiding him a basement and edit pre-recorded speeches like his podcast to paint him as sentient, Biden fits the bill as the default Democrat candidate. He must run as the safe candidate, an easy vote who won?t tear the nation apart like that evil Trump does. Biden will not unite the Democratic Party nor America, all by design. Democrats hope voters hold enough scorn towards Trump to be united under their repugnance instead of passion to vote for Biden. And earning Obama?s support and wielding his political savvy was paramount for Biden?s campaign. As the golden boy of the Democratic Party, his stamp of approval nearly guarantees a candidate?s victory for the primary. Though peculiar he waited as long as he did, especially since this was his Vice President and Obama claims to stand by Biden?s immense qualification for the Presidency, Biden desperately needed the electrification that Obama can bring to a campaign. Despite all virtual, Obama?s greatest gift as a speaker and a politician, his spiritual pitches, still can ignite a voter base. Of course, very little content or a general direction fills his speeches but, as Democrats needed, Obama did his job of amplifying the spiritual threat of Trump. How our democracy is at stake. His lack of ?reverence for the democracy that had been placed in his care.? How he has ?no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends.? How he allows ?Our worst impulses unleashed, our proud reputation around the world badly diminished, and our democratic institutions threatened like never before.?Rhetoric that holds the Presidency in grandeur and majesty, both of which out of reach of Trump?s blunt and insensitive nature, thus disqualifying him from holding Office. And, on the other side, stands ol? Joe Biden. A neighborly candidate full of ?empathy? and ?decency.? If Trump promulgates chaos due to his sheer incompetence, Biden has the experience to face the problems of today?s America. Like he did with Obama, he will get this pandemic under control, rescue the economy, and expand health care to more Americans, painting him as a secure choice for voters fed up on Trump?s decisiveness. The central pitch for 2020 will be voting for Biden goes beyond electing him for the Presidency. Under Trump, democracy itself sputters on life support and young people must revive it. ?You can give our democracy new meaning. You can take it to a better place. You're the missing ingredient -- the ones who will decide whether or not America becomes the country that fully lives up to its creed.? Though nothing more than riveting mush, Obama?s spiritual calls to action won him the Presidency twice and Democrats hope it will be enough to win Biden the Presidency as well. But, in order to even make this pitch, Obama also riddled his speech with outright lies. If he believes ?no one -- including the president -- is above the law,?, then spying on the Trump campaign under illegal FISA warrants must be addressed. In fact, Obama citing the law as disqualification for Trump?s campaign when his administration covered up Benghazi, targeted political opponents with the IRS, and handed criminals south of the border 2,000 weapons during ?Operation Fast and Furious? is quite an amazing take. Claiming ?we should be making it easier for people to cast their ballot, not harder?, he omits Trump?s 10 billion dollar bailout of the postal service to help ensure the capacity to handle a massive influx of mail-in ballots come November. Democrat?s incessant clamoring of the necessity for national mail-in ballots for this upcoming Election only threatens the sanctity of our elections. While mail-in ballots do bring a heightened risk of voter fraud, lost ballots pose the more tangible threat. In a report from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the 2016 Presidential Election had more misdirected mail ballots, sent to the wrong address or simply unaccounted for, than the number of votes separating Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Though she led by 2.9 million votes, 6.5 million ballots become victims of misdirection or being unaccounted. In the 2018 Georgia midterms, 266,000 registered voters cased their votes via mail. 7,000 of them ended up rejected, or 3%, either by an error on the return envelope or simply missing the deadline. To expect a national election to run any smoother would be asinine. False equivalencies pervade every aspect of Obama?s praises of Biden. Why lockdown the nation with national mask mandates if neither of those policies ?helped manage H1N1 and prevent an Ebola outbreak from reaching our shores?? The recession resulting from the covid-19 pandemic differs greatly from the 2008 financial crisis and therefore possess vastly different solutions. Under President Trump, ?our standing in the world? needs no restoring, as Trump essentially obliterated ISIS, brought the Middle East one step closer to peace by bringing together two of the United States?s finest allies in Israel and United Arab Emirates, and finally stood in the path of China?s economic surge after years of unfettered and nearly encouraged growth. Overall, the inherent irony behind a former President scolding a current President for unresolved challenges invites the question of ?why didn?t he?? If issues such as ?climate change, terrorism, poverty, and disease? continue to threaten the heart of the nation, Obama wasted his eight long years in office. Pinning the blame to Trump omits the failures of his administration. Even extending the current Democratic Presidential nominee, Biden?s political career spans 48 years. Running for office trying to bring change upon America wilts in the face of his nearly half century political career without enacting even an iota of change. We must remember trump did not trigger modern politic?s divisiveness and the legitimacy crisis facing Washington. With only four years in politics, he never had the time to set in motion sentiments that are decades old by this point. Trump merely parades in it and harnesses it against the bureaucracy, probably exasperating them in the process. Regardless, the vicious bureaucracy will not take this passively. Trump?s campaign of running over the establishment to return dignity and power to the people put the bureaucracy on the ropes and losing 2020 would be a major setback for the so-called ?Deep State?, perhaps, in an ideal world, a deathblow. No tactic will be too manipulative, from blinding hypocrisy as in Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general who publicly testified her utter surprise at James Comey?s failure to properly inform the incoming Trump administration of the investigation of Michael Flynn and at Obama and Biden?s knowledge of the illegal targeting of Flynn, accusing Trump of undermining democratic institutions during her speech, to blatant lies from Obama?s speech. For all his insidious flaws, Trump and Trump alone stands in the way of this corruption from erasing America itself. Voters cannot allow themselves to be lulled to sleep by Biden?s amiable campaign. Hidden within his policy plans lies a destructive agenda, including defunding of the police, decreased border security with end to deportations; support for sanctuary cities; and free lawyers and free healthcare for illegal immigrants, and increased taxes and regulation. Spiritual pitches crumble once the practical realities enter the conversation. And, moral spirit of America aside, Biden would endanger the American people by failing to protect our citizens. Biden would stifle economic growth. But, most prominent of all, Biden would be an embarrassment of America on the world stage.
