Three rowhouses have been destroyed, one woman has been killed, more people are seriously injured after a gas explosion in Baltimore, Maryland. Several nearby homes have received structural damage, like broken windows, from the blast.
So far, six people have been transported to the hospital. Rescue crew are still working to recover anyone who still may be trapped. All survivors are currently in serious condition.
Spokesperson for the Baltimore Gas and Utility say that workers responded to the scene shortly after the blast and that they are working to turn off the gas to ensure safety and the site.
Fire Chief Niles Ford says the cause of the gas explosion is still being investigated.
