The F14 and F15 are a couple of the most iconic aircrafts ever built. Although the F14 was a carrier based fighter primarily for the US Navy and F15 is a Air Superiority fighter for the US Air Force, both aircrafts have without a doubt left a legacy that few aircraft can surpass.
The F-14 first flew on 21 December 1970 and was built to replace the Navy’s F4 Phantom II. The F14 was capable of speeds up to 1,544 mph. The F15 first flew in July 1972 and is capable of speeds up to 1,875 mph.
